Parents Should be Involved in Children’s Homework

Many children have problems in their lessons, but parents do not help them. This is a common problem in some families now. Parents should focus on the issue to solve these problems. If parents can be involved in children’s homework, children can do well in their study and parents will have a good relationship with their children. Parents should understand the advantages of helping children with their lessons. They should know that there are many ways to help children in homework. They can choose some of these good ways to help children.
Parents should have an active relationship with children and will have many advantages if parents care about children’s homework. Parents will enjoy children’s process of growing up when parents participate in children’s homework. Parents should know how to superintend their children and give attention to children, because they talk to each other though homework every day. It will be easy for parents to understand children as their close friends if they have regular conversations through homework.

First, parents should participate in children’s study process. It can help parents be close with their kids and understand each other if parents are involved in children’s homework ( Strauss, 2009). If parents participate in children’s process of growing up, they will have an unforgettable memories. It is a good experience for parents.

Secondly, children’s homework should be done with parents. President Obama said, “ Teachers, no matter how dedicated or effective, cannot make sure your children leave for school on time and do their homework when they get back at night. These are things only a parent can do. These are things that our parents must do” ( Holland, n.d., para. 4). Parents should know what things that children learn in school and help them. When parents know everything about their children, they will know how to superintend their children and give attention.

However, many parents do not know these advantages of helping children’s homework. They think that homework is children’s business and they can do it on their own way, but it is wrong thinking. Parents should make regular conversations with their children through homework. It will be easy to understand children as their close friends if they have done this.

In conclusion, parents should pay attention to children’s homework. They can understand children’s everything through their homework. Children need to have parents help in their process of growing up. Parents and children should work as a team in their family.
